SCREWFIX™
Screw augmentation system
SCREWFIX™ is a useful tool for cementing cannulated pedicle screws and/or fenestrated pedicle screws. With SCREWFIX™, PMMA is injected through the screw to improve its hold in osteoporotic conditions.
- Controlled distribution of the PMMA;
- Optimal fitting with the screw;
- Enhanced bone-screw interface;
- Compatible with low, medium, and high viscosity cement.
SCREWFIX™ is an advanced solution for secure pedicle screw fixation, ensuring optimal cement distribution, enhanced bone stability and reducing the risk of screw loosening in osteoporotic patients.
4 different types of tips are available:
• Straight tip: same diameter for the entire length of the device;
• Variable diameter tip for easier insertion through the screw;
• Variable diameter tip with a joint that allows the cannula to be locked into the screw;
• Lateral windowed tip for precise and directional cement injection.
Surgical Technique:
- Access the bone.
- Place the screw.
- Set up the PMMA.
- Insert PMMA through the SCREWFIX™ up the distal part.
- Insert SCREWFIX™ through the screw.
- Inject PMMA through the cannula with the pusher.
Fields of application:
- Osteoarthritis;
- Knee chondral injury;
- Hip chondral injury;
- Shoulder chondral injury;
- Ankle chondral injury;
- Tendinopathy;
- Spinal procedures.
SCREWFIX™ is a fully customized device based on the screw type, length, and diameter.
